The area is blessed with waterfalls, verdant valleys and lush semi-evergreen forests. The temple dedicated to Vinzai Devi and the beautiful Devrai (sacred grove) full of some interesting flora adding to the charm of the place. The forests are rich with birds, several species of rock crabs and various flowering plants. Considering its ecological, faunal and floral significance the government decided to declare Tamhini a sanctuary leading to help protect, propagate and develop wildlife therein and its environment.

IMPORTANT: Mandatory disclaimer form must be signed by every participant. We will be having a late lunch, please carry snacks to munch on during the trek. You do not have to carry your trekking bag all along the way. You can leave it back in the bus safely during the trek. Please take care of all your belongings.
