Yes, you can join our fixed-date group departures or customize your trip. We include breakfast and dinner on most tours after check-in, and in some remote locations where options are limited, lunch is also provided. Accommodation is covered for all nights (depending upon single, double, tripple or 6-8 bed dorm), along with airport-to-airport group transport on pre-planned routes which may be covered by road, water and internal flight. Every tour is supported by local or in-house guides, and all government-authorised entry tickets/ permits for visited sites are included for a seamless experience. We offer small group tours mainly between 12-15 individauls, designed to foster meaningful interaction among participants. On these journeys, you arrive as strangers and leave with lifelong memories and strong bonds formed with like-minded travellers, creating a truly enriching and connected travel experience. Our local 1- or 2-day getaways often include 30-50 participants and are hosted at secure campsites or resorts. We maintain a minimum participant-to-staff ratio of 1:5 to ensure personalised attention and smooth arrangements, guaranteeing a safe and fulfilling outdoor experience for everyone involved.

At Rivers and Ridges, our accommodation choices go beyond the ordinary. One key reason travelers return year after year to explore new destinations with us is our meticulous attention to accommodation style. We carefully select each option after testing multiple alternatives, prioritizing excellent food, close proximity to wildlife viewing areas, and breathtaking views to ensure a truly exceptional stay. We primarily offer double occupancy rooms and triple occupancy options with an additional bed to accommodate families with children. For tent accommodations, each camping tent is shared between two, or a maximum of three people to ensure comfort and a pleasant outdoor experience.

International Tours: In order to book your seat for an international tour, you must confirm your registration with 25% of the total cost (GST Inclusive), separate from the travel cost (Bus, train, flights or owned travel expense). If an individual/s books a seat/s within three months (90 days) of the tour date, he or she will be paying 50% of the tour cost to confirm booking and balance 50% to be paid at 5 weeks prior, in order to complete 100% amount towards confirmed booking. Any bookings made within 4 weeks (as long as seats are available) we will require 100% payment to complete registration and conformation of the seat. Booking cancellations: In case of interruption, accidents, illness, or anything else that may come up, if a reservation has to be cancelled, customers will be charged an amount depending on how far from the departure date the cancellation takes place. A request to cancel a trip will only be considered official as long as we have a written note which can be either email, Whats app or sms. The amount you will be charged in case of cancellation: • Two months or 60 days prior to departure – 75% Refund (Which is 100% booking amount)
• One month or 30 days prior to departure – 50% Refund 
• Three weeks or 21 days prior to departure – 25% Refund
• One week or 7 days prior to departure – No Refund

• Two days prior to departure - 25% refund
• 24 hours prior to departure time – No Refund ** Cancellation charges applicable and possibility of transferring to another trip.
• Day of the event or no show - No Refund in any situation **There will be no refund but one could choose another trip within 6 months, any difference in the amounts must be paid by the customer. This option of transferring to another trip is open to those with the following reasons: Death in the immediate family Severe illness for self or immediate family We shall see according to the situation and act accordingly.

When travelling internationally, we guide you on purchasing a local SIM card valid for the duration of your trip. While most accommodations offer Wi-Fi, remote locations and occasional power outages can disrupt connectivity, making a local SIM essential for reliable communication. On certain Himalayan treks, such as the 9 days Kashmir Great Lakes trek, network coverage may be entirely unavailable. During these times, participants are informed in advance to update their families accordingly. For emergencies, our dedicated porters commute daily and are equipped to make necessary communications on behalf of participants if needed, ensuring safety and peace of mind throughout the journey.
